Stay Positive, Ms. Luchs!

 

I lived in Oregon until middle school, when fate planted me in Idaho.

 

I planned to be a journalist when I met the most inspiring teachers I have ever encountered. 

 

Five years later I have finished my student teaching and am waiting to be certified to teach secondary history and health. When I walk into a classroom I am excited for the all the personalities I will encounter in a day and all the chances I will be given to help students learn. Teaching in a classroom is one of the most amazing experiences I am privileged to enjoy on a daily basis.  Each day I get to hear the title to this page, "Stay positive, Ms. Luchs!", coming from any number of my students. They know my motto, and they know I live and breathe by it. This portfolio shows not only what I am capable of as a teacher, but what students are capable of when they are given a chance to shine.  Welcome to my portfolio.
